Welcome to Bonsall and District Film Society, Derbyshire. For our sixth season we are screening a total of 12 films from around the world. Six films in the main programme and six in the additional programme.
Membership still held at £15 giving you free attendance at the main programme of films and reduced price of £3 for the additional programme. Non members are able to prebook for any film and pay £4

First film on Saturday 6th October
The season kicks off on 6th October with a film from our additional programme. To keep things locally topical, the film - Grow your own - portraying oddball allotment owners may have some appeal to villagers. The village allotments are now in their second season. Don't know that we will pick up any growing tips or hints though.

Keeping it Local
In March 2008 we are screening a film by local and nationally respected director Shane Meadows
THIS IS ENGLAND set in the long, hot summer of 1983.
During the main season of films we are showing two shorts prior to the main film. These are both by local directors. In October, THE DRESS by Maggie Ford from Yougreave. In February, REBECCA by local villager Nick Whitfield.

The Bonsall experience
A unique evening out at our own village cinema. Converted from the old function room at what was The Fountain Inn, cosy ambiance with the latest equipment and a 3m wide screen.

The Village Hall bar offers themed drinks and (sometimes) snacks for main programme films.
Ice creams are on sale in the cinema for all films.

Volunteers
All tasks are shared by a committee of volunteers and new volunteers are very welcome – please get in touch as we can always do with more help, whether you are a Tecchie or a bottlewasher.
